Abkhazia Started Accepting Mir Cards; Russian payment cards “Mir” began to be accepted in Abkhazia, the National Bank of the partially recognized republic reports.
The department noted that this decision was implemented as part of the integration of the national payment systems of Abkhazia “Apra” and Russia. At the same time, at the moment, users of the Mir card can use it in the entire Apra terminal network. We are talking about issuing cash at ATMs and cash desks of banks participating in Apra, paying for goods and services through POS-terminals.
It is expected that in the near future the owners of Abkhazian cards will also be able to be served in the territory where the Russian payment system “Mir” is present.
