Alfa-Bank Introduces Fees for Storing Euros; From September 1, Russian Alfa-Bank will introduce a commission for servicing euro accounts. This is reported by the Prime agency.
According to the publication, the 0.1% tariff will be charged from the amount exceeding the limits of the average monthly balance (over 50 thousand euros for premium and 5 thousand euros for ordinary customers). In this case, the size of the commission will be from 10 to 100 euros.
Many Russian credit institutions began to introduce special tariffs for servicing euro accounts or completely close euro deposits due to the negative rate set by the European Central Bank (ECB).
Alfa-Bank emphasized that they did not intend to deny customers the opportunity to keep funds in euros.
