American billionaire and founder of the SpaceX project, Elon Musk, announced the possible colonization of Mars. In his opinion, SpaceX will sooner or later reach the Red Planet.
At the same time, Musk is sure that creating a permanent base (and then a city) with human habitation on Mars will be more difficult than getting to it, and the implementation of the Martian program is associated with a risk to people’s lives.
“We have to establish a base on Mars, and then build a city and reach the point where it will be self-sufficient. If we succeed, it will be a really big achievement,” Musk said.
Despite all the difficulties, the entrepreneur considers his plans an exciting adventure: “I want to emphasize that this is incredibly difficult and dangerous, not for the faint of heart. It will be a risky but interesting adventure,” he said.
Recall that on May 30, the first manned flight of a spacecraft from the SpaceX Crew Dragon project took place.
On the morning of September 1, Elon Musk is one of the three richest people on the planet, and his fortune is estimated at $ 115 billion.
