The money withdrawn from Ukrainian PrivatBank was spent by its former owners Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov on luxury real estate abroad, according to the Slidstvo Info film Breaking the Bank, citing a Kroll report.
Media: Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov Bought Houses With Money From Privatbank; According to nv.ua with reference to the film, Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov spent the money received from PrivatBank outside Ukraine, buying expensive real estate. So, it is alleged that Gennady Bogolyubov bought a villa in London in the prestigious Belgravia district and a premium office center near Buckingham Palace, and that, according to Kroll detectives, in 2016 he owned real estate worth more than 90 million pounds.
As for Igor Kolomoisky, according to the detective agency, he and his family members through a chain of companies own at least two villas in the Israeli city of Herzliya, as well as two yachts – 65-meter and 90-meter.
It is also noted that although Kolomoisky is associated with luxury real estate in Switzerland, France and Israel, the owner of most of these assets is his sister Larisa Chertok. Including, for example, a villa in Geneva for $ 32 million – despite the fact that Kroll did not find evidence that the woman had an income sufficient for such purchases. She also owns a villa on the southeast coast of France, which is considered the main residence of the Kolomoisky family.
Chertok herself refused to comment on anything to journalists Slidstvo Info.
The portal notes that the US government has filed forfeiture cases against Kolomoisky, who, among other things, is a shareholder of Optima, which owns real estate in Cleveland. nv.ua reports that on August 4, the FBI raided the office of a real estate company associated with Kolomoisky.
The portal reported that at the presentation of this, the deputy chairman of the board for managing problematic assets of PrivatBank, Galina Pakhachuk, said that 70% of the 22 thousand current employees of the nationalized bank still consider Igor Kolomoisky one of the best leaders and hope for his return.
