Ukraine Closes for Foreigners; The Ukrainian authorities have decided to temporarily restrict entry to Ukraine for foreigners due to the increase in the number of detected cases of coronavirus. This was reported to journalists by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic Arsen Avakov. The ban will be in effect until September 28.

At the same time, entry into the country is still allowed for citizens of Ukraine, as well as persons permanently residing in it and having the relevant documents. In addition, the government allows transit through Ukraine (a document confirming the departure within two days is required). Also, entry into the country is open to persons recognized as refugees or in need of protection, diplomatic workers and members of their families, students in Ukraine and the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of August 26, more than 110,000 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine, 53,454 people recovered, 2,354 died.
