Greece Restricted the Entry of Russians; Since September 7, the Greek government has allowed Russians to enter the country, but their number will be strictly regulated – no more than 500 people a week. In addition, the decree is valid until September 21 inclusive, according to RIA Novosti.

Also, Russians who decide to go to Greece will need to follow a number of rules. So, entry into the country is possible only through the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion. Citizens of Russia will have to carry a certificate with a negative PCR test result for coronavirus, dated no earlier than 72 hours before arrival. The document must be translated into English.

The obligation of primary control on the availability of a certificate lies with the airline, which should not let passengers on board without a negative test. In case of violation of this clause, the airline will be obliged to repatriate the Russian at its own expense.

In addition, those wishing to fly to Greece will have to fill out a special PLF (Passenger Locator Form), indicating their contact details in Greece the day before arrival. They must also have a hotel booking receipt or other documents indicating their temporary residence in the country.

In the event that a passenger is randomly tested for coronavirus upon arrival, he will need to wait for the result of the test at a designated temporary place of residence. The fine for violating self-isolation will be 5,000 euros.

We will remind, earlier Russia restored flights with the UK, Tanzania, Turkey and Switzerland.

Also, the borders to Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova are open to the Russians. In the near future, Poland may lift the entry ban.
